Family is a unique gift that needs to be appreciated and treasured, even when they’re driving you crazy. As much as they make you mad, interrupt you, annoy you, try to control you, these are the people who know you the best and who love you.

I HAVE BEEN pondering on a current experience of spending Christmas with family. The reflection over the years, joy, laughter, kindness, attitude, the emotions and the opportunity to understand each other and practice of loving each other unconditionally. Holidays and other events provide this opportunity, especially when everyone is together, and you can see them together exchanging their views.

AWARENESS plays a major role. We consider Awareness as a place within and allowing us to see from varying perspectives, values, emotions and beliefs. It is from this place we are able to create more loving and conscious responses. We tune into the feelings, understand the issues and become aware of what might work better for all, while at the same time, we overlook the small things that don’t matter. We make every effort to support others with pure intent and provide a safe place for sharing and creating higher levels of communication and consider extending unconditional love to all.

Love in the Greek Language is:
AGAPE: love that is pure and free
CHARIS: love that is celebration and praise
EUNOIA: love that is compassion and service
STORGE: tenderness
PHILIA: respect for our respect for each other.

WHY CHOOSE LOVE? How does it benefit our life? What is in it for us?

Choosing love allows us to mature emotionally, mentally and spiritually, enabling us to higher levels of consciousness, spiritual perception and energy. We are then free to access greater creativity, joy and success in our lives.

Choosing love gives us the energy to free ourselves from attachments and habits that obstruct our energy and love.

Choosing love encourages us to remember and employ spiritual truths in our daily life, thus enhancing our spiritual growth.

Choosing love inspires others to do the same. We and all of society then experience that increased expression on love. We all become more loved.

Choosing love brings us peace, because we experience harmony with our conscience and highest ideals. We feel good about ourselves and our lives.

Choosing love makes us wiser and stronger on all levels. True love can flow only from wisdom and strength.

Love is not easy to define and much of it, is a mystery. Love is our biggest and greatest investment on Earth and our desire to love and be loved is deeply imprinted within us.

Love conquers, endures, becomes boundless…love’s transcendent power raises us to divine awareness.

THERE IS NOTHING more beautiful, than love – it is worth all sacrifices and illusions. It is what allows us to experience our higher self. No amount of knowledge, wisdom or discipline opens the door to higher levels of consciousness, peace and happiness and easily as love.

Choose love.
